The following is a detailed summary of some what we learned at the N.F.-Board Annual General Meeting in Munich and the good news following it.

The Cascadia Association Football Federation (CAFF) was well received in Munich at last weekend’s Annual General Meeting of the Fédération-Board (N.F.-Board) in Munich, Germany and now joins the organization.

On Monday, February 25, 2013 we were told that the N.F.-Board President would convene a meeting of the Executive Committee in three months and that Cascadia as well as Franconia and Helgoland would join.

Other news of general importance from the N.F.-Board’s meeting in Munich is that Samiland will host the 2014 VIVA World Cup in Östersund, Sweden and that Western Sahara will be the host of this year’s Women’s VIVA World Cup.

The Swedish TV station TV4 will broadcast the 2014 tournament in Sweden which will also be distributed internationally.

As of today we have received formal invitations to play friendlies with Quebec, Occitania, Raetia, Sealand, and Northern Cyprus amongst others. Nearly every football association we met at the Munich meeting also expressed an interest in playing our Cascadia team.

We also have received two invitations to participate in tournaments this summer. Most notably was an invitation from the football association of Provence for Cascadia to represent itself in the Capital of Culture festival and football tournament to take place in Montpellier in the French region of Provence.

Among them is general agreement (pending a vote) that an annual home-and-away friendly series between the two should take place. There was also further discussion of the North America and Arctic non-FIFA confederation of which Quebec would like us to be a founding member of. This confederation would also include Greenland and later in the future a federation in New Brunswick. Both of these will be brought to a vote by the CAFF board in the very near future.
